Procedure detail
This 55 year old male presented with a request to solidify his recessed hairline, enhance midscalp density, and soften the balding appearance in the crown region. He was not able to shave his scalp for the restoration procedure. A total of 3194 grafts were used with a stick-and-place insertion technique. Density transitions were prioritized in a front-to-back fashion so as to maximize his frontal appearance. Presented are one-year postop photos.

Occurs when the connecting bridge of hair disappears leaving a single large bald area on the front and top of the scalp. The hair on the sides of the scalp remains relatively high.
